It proved to be a hectic conclusion to the transfer window on Tuesday evening, even if Liverpool conducted most of their business earlier on in the day.

AS Monaco ultimately blocked his move to Stamford Bridge and while that will have been disappointing for Camara, he can take solace in the fact that Liverpool have reportedly promised they would make a move for him potentially as early as in six months time.

Ultimately the club's supporters will be underwhelmed by the lack of arrivals this summer.

With all the focus on Camara and a couple of other dramatic deals, Liverpool's announcement of Lucca Brughmans went a little under the radar.

So much so that very few people noticed that Liverpool actually signed Brughmans for a world record when it comes to U23 goalkeepers.

This was pointed out by Football Talent Scout Jacek Kulig on Twitter, sharing that the €33m fee Liverpool paid for Brughmans has eclipsed James Trafford's move to Manchester City.

To pay that for an 18-year-old goalkeeper Liverpool will be extremely confident they have secured an absolute superstar in the Genk youngster.

Considering Liverpool beat the likes of Real Madrid for his signature, it is perhaps no surprise that the Reds had to pay such a huge fee.
