Liverpool Team News and Confirmed Lineup vs Galatasaray

After securing a spot in the FA Cup quarter-finals with a 3-1 win over Wolves on Friday, Liverpool’s attention now turns back to the Champions League.

Tonight the Reds start their Champions League knockout campaign with the first leg of their last-16 tie with Galatasaray.

Arne Slot’s side suffered a 1-0 defeat in this same fixture earlier this season, so will be keen to get revenge on their opposition.

Liverpool were dealt a double injury blow ahead of this one, with both Federico Chiesa and Alisson Becker dropping out of the squad yesterday.

Slot confirmed that Chiesa’s absence was due to illness, whilst his number one goalkeeper suffered a minor injury in training. However, both are expected to be back in contention for Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

The duo join the likes of Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni, Wataru Endo, Stefan Bajcetic and Alexander Isak on the sidelines.
