Liverpool contact agents of £100m sensation | OneFootball

Liverpool still have many areas among their ranks that could do with an upgrade or two.

The Reds did manage to spend over £150 million on new players this summer but, there are still a few issues that seem to be arising.

Obviously, these can mostly be solved by new additions but, without the sale of some players, it's hard to see where Liverpool will be able to get the money from.

They've signed three players for over £100 million throughout the last couple of years and, with the way that the market seems to be heading, more deals of that nature are likely to emerge.

With this in mind, several players are being eyed by Liverpool but, the fact that they've now contacted the agents of one player proves that they're already thinking ahead.

Liverpool have contacted Estevao's agents about a potential move

One of the main areas that Liverpool still need to upgrade is their right-wing.

Mohamed Salah chose to exit Anfield before the end of his two-year deal which left Liverpool without their main attacker.

Indeed, Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo have both managed to step up over the last few weeks and have put on some rather impressive display, but, the fact that Liverpool still don't have a natural right-winger is rather concerning.

Bradley Barcola, Gakpo, Rio Ngumoha and Victor Munoz can all be used there if needed but, since they're all much better off when used as left-wingers, it's hard to justify using one of them on the right.

So, that's why the latest update from FootballFanCast about Liverpool contacting Estevao's agents about a potential move is fairly understandable.

"Football FanCast sources understand that Liverpool have contacted the representatives of Estevao Willian and are attempting to convince the winger to ditch contract talks at Chelsea," they wrote.

"The Brazilian's current deal doesn't expire until 2033, but the Blues are trying to tie him down on better terms, according to Fabrizio Romano.

"Those at Anfield are attempting to intervene before that new deal comes into play, however, and have already sent their scouts to watch him in action.

"For their part, Chelsea are not interested in selling their young star and have reportedly valued him at more than £100m.

"That would make him the fourth Liverpool signing worth more than £100m in the last two years, highlighting how much they've been willing to splash the cash recently."

Estevao would be the perfect right-winger for Liverpool to target

Estevao joined Chelsea at the start of last season, and, since Salah's exit, he's been linked with a Liverpool move.

When he joined, the Brazilian wasn't expected to do all that much as he was only 18 years old.

However, to the surprise of many, he was actually one of Chelsea's best players over the course of the 2025-26 campaign.

The attacker featured in 36 games across all competitions and contributed to 12 goals.

Obviously, these numbers are nowhere near Salah's 22 contributions but, since he's still only 20 years old, it proves how good he actually is.

Right-wing is the attackers natural position but, like most wingers in this day and age, he can be used on the left or even as a number 10 if needed.

Estevao would cost Liverpool a decent chunk of change to bring to Anfield but, of all the right-wingers that they've been linked with, the Brazilian makes the most sense.

He'd also be classed as homegrown by the time he needs to be registered as he'd have then trained in England for three years before the age of 21.

Obviously, Estevao's price tag is a lot more steep than someone such as Isamaila Sarr or Yankuba Minteh but, with the quality he has and the potential he could end up fulfilling, it does feel like he could be worth every penny of the £100 million they'd spend.
