Liverpool ‘could sell’ Harvey Elliott, with Sunderland and Leeds linked to £30m move | OneFootball

Sunderland and Leeds United have been linked with a move for Liverpool attacker Harvey Elliott, with his Anfield future uncertain. Football Insider reports that Liverpool could consider a sale this summer if the 23-year-old fails to impress new head coach Andoni Iraola in pre-season.

Elliott has returned from a difficult loan at Aston Villa, making only nine appearances in all competitions and not meeting the conditions for a permanent deal. He is understood to be eager to prove himself and fight for another opportunity on Merseyside.

Should Liverpool open the door to a permanent exit, several clubs are monitoring the situation. Leeds United are credited with interest, while Sunderland, Crystal Palace and newly-promoted Coventry City have also been tipped to explore a deal. His Premier League and Champions League experience make him an attractive option.

Valuations cited range from €35 million to around €40 million, with €35 million approximately £29.7 million. The finances involved could present a significant obstacle.

Sunderland are expected to review attacking options as Régis Le Bris strengthens his squad for a campaign featuring Premier League and Europa League football. Elliott can operate from the right, as a number ten or in a deeper creative role, suiting Le Bris’s preference for versatility. For now, he appears determined to earn another chance at Liverpool, and pre-season performances are likely to shape any decision.
