Liverpool are still at the top of the Premier League standings despite losing two points in the title race against Newcastle United.
The Reds played a 3-3 draw against Eddie Howe’s side, with Mohamed Salah once again inspiring Arne Slot’s side with a goal and an assist.
It was another poor performance from Darwin Nunez and that is starting to worry the club chiefs.
The striker has only managed to score two goals in the 11 Premier League matches he has played so far, a poor return for a striker who is playing for a title challenging team.
The Merseyside club have started looking at their options in the market and they could make a move as early as the January transfer window.
According to journalist Francois Plateau, Liverpool are exploring a January move for Brighton striker Joao Pedro.

Nunez has not been completely disastrous this season as his work rate and his effort off the ball has been brilliant but in terms of goals and assists, his record has been poor.
The Reds are looking for a player who can take the burden off Salah and help him with goals and assists in attack.

Luis Diaz’s early season form has completely vanished while Diogo Jota is yet to make a return from his injury.
Cody Gakpo has contributed well to the Liverpool attack but Slot needs more from his attackers.
Pedro is being eyed by the Reds as the long term replacement of Nunez at Anfield.
The Brighton attacker has impressed this season after scoring goals against Manchester United, Arsenal and Man City.
Pedro has scored four goals in eight appearances for the Seagulls this season.
The journalist has not mentioned the price tag of the player or the fee Liverpool are willing to pay for him.
Pedro is exactly the kind of player Liverpool need in their attack as he is similar to how their former attacker Roberto Firmino used to play. He likes to bring others into play and he connects well with his teammates, something that Salah would love in the Liverpool attack.
