Liverpool are discussing a move for an elite wonderkid after their latest scouting mission.
Liverpool are readying their transfer plans for the summer. It’s going to be a big one, too, with the club desperately needing to correct the wrongs of 2025.
The Reds spent enormously last summer in an effort to improve on a title-winning team. That has failed up to now, however, as the things have undeniably moved backwards.
That’s not to say it’s all a lost cause, though. Liverpool will move to find the right puzzle pieces that click this group together - 2025 was never the big rebuild as much as it was the start of a massive process.
2026, then, will see Liverpool dip back into the market, potentially with more big-money moves, in an effort to find the right players. One area that will be looked at is in midfield, where Richard Hughes has left untouched up to now.
Teamtalk reports that Liverpool are discussing a move internally for Sean Steur. The 18-year-old has exploded into life at Ajax and is now attracting interest from across Europe.
It’s a particularly interesting one as Liverpool have been linked with a different Dutch midfield talent in Kees Smit. The AZ Alkmaar star looks like one of the best midfield talents about, drawing incredibly interest in his signature.
However, TT suggest that the Reds, along with some others, feel Steur is the bigger prospect. And that might just swing their attention his way.
