Liverpool hold no interest in signing Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessié but are keen on a number of Bundesliga midfielders, according to The Athletic’s James Pearce.
Links in Spain had broke earlier in the week claiming that Jürgen Klopp was eyeing a move for Kessié ahead of a midfield rebuild this summer but those claims have been dismissed.
However, it is believed that Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch and Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Manu Koné are under consideration at Anfield.
There is also admiration for Gabri Veiga of Celta Vigo, Nice’s Khepren Thuram and recently relegated Southampton youngster Romeo Lavia.
Klopp is embarking on a restructuring of his team’s midfield after missing out on Champions League qualification last season.
Liverpool are expected to complete their first signing of the transfer window later today in the form of Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister who is set to join for a reported fee of around £45m.
