In a recent segment on Youtube, respected journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed that Liverpool have identified Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola as their main target for this summer transfer window. Romano said,

“Liverpool are there, don’t forget Liverpool, and also Arsenal.

“But Arsenal’s priority is Morgan Rogers. So, Barcola, Arsenal is a possibility if Morgan Rogers doesn’t happen.

“That’s the reality as of today. For Liverpool, Barcola is in the highest position in terms of winger targets.”

Barcola’s Impressive Form In Ligue 1

Barcola managed to prove his worth with his performances on the left side of PSG’s attack in the previous campaign. The 23-year-old scored 13 times and earned seven assists in 49 matches for the French outfit last season across all competitions.

The French sensation is currently one of the best wingers in Ligue 1. Hence, it is no wonder that the Reds are hoping to get a deal done for him later this year.

His current contract at the French club will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Liverpool to land him on a cut-price deal in this transfer period.

Will Barcola Be A Good Fit For Liverpool?

Barcola can use his quickness to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out in the wide areas. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates to find the back of the net and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.

The French talent can shoot the ball with power and precision from long range and can contribute by scoring his fair share of goals up top. Barcola is primarily a left-winger but can also operate as a right-sided wide player or as a centre-forward if asked to do so. However, there are some question marks over whether he can adapt to the physical style and high intensity of the Premier League if the Reds manage to bring him on board this summer.

Barcola would undoubtedly enhance the quality of Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola’s frontline. He is good enough to nail down a regular starting spot at Anfield next season.

At 23, Barcola will only improve with each year. Hence, he would be a great fit for the Merseyside club’s needs in the long run.
