Liverpool’s options going forward have changed a lot in the last few years, but Richard Hughes’ rebuild isn’t done yet.
Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz both arrived for club record fees in the summer, although it is Hugo Ekitike who appears to have had the biggest impact on Arne Slot’s side.
The foundations have been set for the future of Liverpool’s attack but, with speculation rife over the futures of Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo, there is still work to be done.
Attacking reinforcements won’t be the priority for the Reds this winter, but come the summer Hughes will no doubt be looking to strengthen once again.
Even with all the firepower Liverpool added last summer, the list of forwards that have been linked with an Anfield switch this season is almost never-ending.

Isak’s devastating leg break only added fuel to the fire that another attacker would be brought in, but it now looks like any business will wait until the summer.
One of the most exciting names linked with a Merseyside move this season is Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz, who has been on Liverpool’s radar for some time now.
The Reds interest in the Turkish international was confirmed again this week by Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian outlet also pressed the importance of the 20-year-old to Juve, noting that contract extensions for Yildiz and manager Luciano Spalletti are a priority in Turin.
With 17 goal involvements in 29 appearances for Juve this season, Yildiz has proven himself to be an effective and versatile attacker.
His age combined with his ability to play either as an attacking midfielder, through the middle or off the left make him a fantastic option for any of Europe’s top teams.
In the report Real Madrid are the only other club named as an interested party, but several other unnamed Premier League and La Liga clubs are also reportedly monitoring the situation.
Liverpool will almost certainly face competition for Yildiz, who is valued at €74 million by FootballTransfers, but the 20-year-old has shown this season exactly why the Reds are after him.
Convincing the forward to leave Juventus will be a tough task, but Yildiz should be one of the top names on Liverpool’s list heading into the summer transfer window.
