The French left-back featured in 34 games this season, contributing three assists. He is averaging 3 tackles, 1.3 interceptions, and 1.7 clearances per game (stats via whoscored).
Locko is known for his defensive skills as he is excellent at tackling, blocking shots, and clearing threats. He is also good at carrying the ball forward with the help of dribbling and can provide accurate crosses and through balls. With time, he is likely to develop more attacking aspects into his armoury.
Liverpool’s alleged interest in Bradley Locko is understandable as their first-choice left-back, Andrew Robertson, has struggled with injuries this season. The Scottish is an integral part of the side and his absence hurt the team’s plan to a great extent.
Moreover, Robertson is already 30 and has a few years left to perform at the highest level. It means the Reds should start nourishing a player for the same role. From that perspective, the signing of Locko would be a good move.
The 22-year-old has already proven his talent in the French league and has a lot of room to improve. He can used as a cover for Robertson and used as a super sup. The youngster can be a long-term investment for the club and his signing won’t be too costly as well.
