Liverpool are set to be without Alisson until the end of November following tests on the injury he sustained at Crystal Palace.

The Brazil international was forced out of the win at Selhurst Park with a hamstring problem and examinations on Monday have now returned their results.

The Times report that he will not return to action until after next month’s international break due to the severity of the issue.

However, the positive news is that he is likely to be back at full fitness in time for Manchester City’s trip to Anfield on December 1.

In his absence, Caoimhín Kelleher is set to deputise for the former Roma man, vindicating the Reds’ decision not to sell him during the summer despite the goalkeeper’s eagerness for first team football.
