Liverpool, Lens, PSG and Rennes in Marseille’s four-week, eight-game schedule

Olympique de Marseille face eight matches in four weeks across Ligue 1, the Champions League and the Coupe de France. According to L'Équipe, the run includes pivotal league and European fixtures.
They have already lost 0-2 to Nantes on four January in Ligue 1, then thrashed Bayeux of R1 9-0 on Tuesday in the Coupe de France round of 32. That tie opened a sequence running from 13 January to eight February.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side sit third in Ligue 1, eight points behind leaders Lens. They visit Angers on Saturday, then host Liverpool four days later in a match that could prove decisive for Champions League play-off qualification.
Currently 16th in the league phase, OM then face Lens, Club Bruges, Paris FC and Rennes, before ending the spell at the Parc des Princes against PSG.
The schedule is, 17 January Angers v OM, 21 January OM v Liverpool, 24 January OM v Lens, 28 January Club Bruges v OM, matchday eight and final round, 31 January Paris FC v OM, four February OM v Rennes in the last 16, eight February PSG v OM.
