Boos echoed around Anfield as fans made frustration clear after latest setback
Liverpool have made a decision on the future of Arne Slot after boos echoed around Anfield following their 1-1 draw with Burnley.
Fans made their frustrations clear at the full-time whistle on Saturday, when Liverpool dropped two points against a side who are deep in relegation trouble.
Liverpool have now recorded four straight draws in the Premier League and their latest setback leaves them 14 points behind leaders Arsenal.
Marcus Edwards scored a second-half equaliser for Burnley as wasteful Liverpool missed the chance to cut the gap to second-placed Manchester City and Aston Villa.
Scrutiny on Slot’s position has increased since Xabi Alonso was sacked by Real Madrid on Monday.

There is now an obvious replacement for those demanding a managerial change at Anfield.
Alonso is a Liverpool legend following his five years on Merseyside as a player between 2004 and 2009, when he won the Champions League and the FA Cup.
It is unclear when Alonso will look to get back into management but the new twist of his availability means the noise around Slot will crack up if results do not improve.
Although Liverpool are unbeaten in 12 games in all competitions, a section of fans are calling for change.
But the Athletic report Slot retains the backing of FSG, who “have no plans to follow the lead of rivals Manchester United and Chelsea by making a managerial change mid-campaign”.
Liverpool are next in action when they play Marseille in the Champions League on Wednesday.
It is a big game for the Reds, who are fighting to finish in the top eight and qualify automatically for the knockout stage.
Liverpool then play Bournemouth in the Premier League next Saturday.
Asked about the boos at Anfield on Saturday, Slot said: “In my head it wasn't booing but in my head it was frustration as well. If you, as Liverpool, are not disappointed by having a draw at home to Burnley then something is completely wrong.
“I completely understand the frustration. I have the same frustrations and the players definitely have the same frustrations as the fans."
