Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch says he is “very happy” at the club and hailed the impact Arne Slot has had on his career.
The Dutchman was instrumental in Liverpool’s title win last season in a holding midfield role, playing 37 Premier League games under Slot.
And asked about a potential new contract with the Reds, Gravenberch replied: “Obviously I’m happy here so we have to see.
“We haven’t talked yet but we will see.”
The 23-year-old also praised the impact his boss Slot, who has come under pressure this season following a run of four Premier League defeats in a row, has had on his career.
“For me he is really important,” Gravenberch said.
“When he came here, he gave me the chance to become a a starting 11 player, he gave me a lot of confidence and he gave me the opportunity to show myself.”
Liverpool added several new signings in the summer, including Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez.
And Gravenberch has stressed it takes time for everything to click.
“We’re trying to do the same things but for the new players it’s not always easy because they come to a new team, they have a new coach, new principles of play,” he said.
“For them, it’s not easy to be here and do directly everything good. I don’t see a lot of different things.
“I think it can be in both ways. Such things take time. It’s not from day one, okay, they can do it good.
“They already do a good job so we will see in a few more weeks, months, how they will do then.”
