There are still a few weeks left of the summer transfer window.

Liverpool were expected to completely change their team up after the failure of the 2025-26 season.

Arne Slot failed to trust any players outside of his usual starting XI which led to players such as Tyler Morton and Jarell Quansah both exiting.

And now, Curtis Jones could also be on his way out thanks to the lack of playing time he was given by the Dutchman.

Indeed, Liverpool could do with selling a player or two to fund the rest of their window but, since the Reds need to keep as many homegrown players among their ranks as possible, getting rid of Jones isn't really the best of ideas.

However, despite not knowing which players could be moved on, several rumours have emerged about Liverpool's summer plans and now, another potential target for them may have just emerged.

One of the most inflated areas of the market this summer is midfield.

Elliott Anderson was sold to Manchester City for £116 million with Morgan Rogers also being sold to Chelsea for £117 million.

Other players such as Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali have also been sold for inflated fees but, one team that haven't made any additions to their midfield is Liverpool.

Many rumours have emerged but, at the time of writing, no concrete moves have been made by Liverpool for a new central midfielder.

However, that could be about to change now that Arsenal are offering Myles Lewis-Skelly to other Premier League clubs this summer.

"Sources say Myles Lewis-Skelly has been offered to multiple Premier League clubs and that #AFC could be open to selling having signed Bruno G," Alex Crook shared via X.

"Manchester United among those clubs along with Chelsea."

Myles Lewis-Skelly would be a perfect signing for Liverpool

One of the main things that Liverpool lacked last season was quality among their ranks.

Although their starting XI was fairly solid, when their injury crisis came along, there were barely any options for Arne Slot to replace his players with.

And, the fact that Alexander Isak spent most of the 2025-26 season side-lined due to injury was far from ideal.

This led to fans believing that another rebuild was on the way and, with how many midfielders are now being linked with moves away from Anfield, it's clear to see why Lewis-Skelly would be an ideal fit.

Not only is the Englishman a central-midfielder but Mikel Arteta has also played him at left-back on multiple occasions.

He's also going to be homegrown when he turns 21 so, his arrival would also help solve one of the Reds' main issues.

Indeed, the fee to sign him would likely be a record for Arsenal but, with the amount of potential he has, it feels like he'd be a solid investment for Liverpool.
