Arne Slot’s future at Liverpool has become a source of speculation in recent weeks.

The Dutchman is under mounting pressure following a dismal run of eight defeats in 11 matches.

The Reds are reportedly courting Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann to replace the 47-year-old at Anfield.

However, the Daily Mail’s Dominic King claims that Liverpool retain their faith in Slot and are not interested in appointing Nagelsmann.

Liverpool were favourites for the Premier League title at the start of the season.

They invested over £450 million in new players, but their new signings have flopped.

Alexander Isak has not replicated the form he showed at Newcastle United, scoring just one goal in nine appearances across all competitions.

Florian Wirtz has also failed to make his mark in the Premier League since joining from Bayer Leverkusen, with no goal contributions in 11 matches.

Hugo Ekitike has fared better with three goals in 11 appearances.

Slot still has plenty of credit in the bank, given that he delivered a Premier League title in his debut season.

However, he must improve results soon to secure his future on Merseyside.

Slot’s men will look to bounce back from Saturday’s 3-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest when they host PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Wednesday.
