Liverpool are planning to sign Tottenham Hotspur starlet Archie Gray this summer. 

Spurs have endured one of their worst Premier League campaigns, as they are battling to retain their top-flight status. 

Tottenham are 18th in the league standings, sitting two points from safety with five games remaining. 

A mass exodus of top talents could happen if the London giants are relegated to the Championship. 

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool could launch a move for Gray if Tottenham fail to beat the drop. 

The Reds look to bolster their midfield, with Curtis Jones and Alexis Mac Allister facing uncertain futures at Anfield. 

Gray is a technically gifted player who is known for his energy, game intelligence and passing ability. 

Tottenham spent a fee around £40 million to sign him from Leeds United in 2024. 

He has made 80 appearances across all competitions, with five direct goal contributions to his name. 

Despite limited minutes, Gray has impressed with his performances this season. 

He has bagged two goals and two assists in 23 Premier League games. 

Tottenham do not want to lose the 20-year-old, who can play in central midfield, at right-back or in defence. 

Gray would be an excellent signing for Liverpool, but Spurs rate him very highly and only a huge transfer fee could convince them to let the versatile footballer leave. 

The Merseyside titans would likely be wary of spending a hefty sum on a young player after the struggles of their major signings this season.
