Liverpool maintained their unbeaten run in the Premier League to 22 games after they secured a 2-2 draw against Aston Villa in the Premier League at Villa Park.
Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold scored in both halves, but in terms of overall performance, it was still far from satisfactory.
Darwin Nunez was very poor after he came on, while Conor Bradley picked up an injury towards the end of the match.
Here, at SportsView, we have rated the players out of 10.
Alisson Becker – 6
The Brazilian nearly made a costly error to leave his position to win a ball against Marcus Rashford. He wasn’t at fault for both the goals.
Trent Alexander-Arnold – 9
He was arguably the best player on the pitch before he was taken off, possibly protecting him from getting injured. He was tidy at the back, made some good interceptions, and delivered a passing masterclass. He could easily have had two or three assists in the first half and scored the equaliser as well.
Ibrahima Konate – 7
It was a decent performance from the Frenchman. Strong at the back and made as many as four tackles and 10 clearances during the game.
Virgil van Dijk – 6
The Reds skipper won six out of nine aerial duels, but he lost possession 15 times.
Andy Robertson – 6
Robertson made four key passes and was a constant threat from the left-hand side. He made three interceptions as well. Overall, it was a tidy performance, but he is yet to reach the heights he is capable of this season.
Ryan Gravenberch – 6
Is Gravenberch showing signs of fatigue? He has been starting in almost every game, and we are probably witnessing a slight dip in form. It was still a tidy performance, but he has set the bar very high for himself this season.
Alexis MacAllister – 6
The Argentine was involved in a tough physical battle throughout the game. He was very good with his distributions as well.
Mohamed Salah – 7
The Egyptian can’t stop scoring at the moment, especially when he was presented with an easy chance to score from two yards out. Salah was a constant threat on the right hand side, and should have scored one more goal in the first half, but he couldn’t keep his header on target.
Curtis Jones – 8
Terrific. In the first half, Jones managed to move away from two or three players from tight spaces and then played out a delicious pass on the path of Szoboszlai. He put in a fantastic defensive shift as well.
Dominik Szoboszlai – 6
A workhorse in the middle, the Hungarian would be very disappointed after Darwin Nunez missed a sitter from his fantastic pass.
Diogo Jota – 7
The Portuguese provided an assist, hit the bar, made some brilliant runs, closed players down and at the same time missed a few very good scoring chances.
Darwin Nunez (on for Jota 66′) – 2
The Uruguayan produced a shocking display. He could have scored with his first touch, and yet, from a close range, he blazed it over the bar. He couldn’t even hit the target. Made some poor passes inside the box, and left Arne Slot down.
Luis Diaz (on for Mac Allister 81′) – NA
Conor Bradley — (on for Alexander-Arnold 66′) 6 – Jarell Quansah (on for Bradley) – NA
