Liverpool continue their hunt for the Premier League title on Boxing Day when they welcome Leicester City to Anfield.

The penultimate outing of the calendar year offers Liverpool the chance to move further clear of chasers Chelsea and Arsenal, with recent form suggesting that the Reds will not only taste victory on Thursday but run up the score.

Arne Slot has almost an entirely fit squad to select from for the Foxes' visit and Sunday's bonkers 6-3 demolition of Tottenham Hotspur will have further boosted confidence levels on the red half of Merseyside.

GK: Alisson - The Brazilian was relatively untroubled against Tottenham at the weekend yet still managed to concede three times. A clean sheet is far more likely against Leicester, who have blanked in their last two games.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold - Some of Alexander-Arnold's passing in north London was simply sensational. The right-back assisted Liverpool's opener with a pinpoint cross and dazzled with his incisive long-range distribution.

CB: Joe Gomez - Much like Alisson, there wasn't much that Gomez did wrong against Spurs despite shipping three. He largely impressed against a talented and relentlessly forward-thinking Tottenham attack.

CB: Virgil van Dijk - Nobody made more tackles than Liverpool's skipper last time out, with Van Dijk not dribbled past once in the capital. He will enjoy a battle with familiar foe Jamie Vardy on Thursday, with the Leicester striker having scored ten in 17 against the Reds.

LB: Kostas Tsimikas - Andy Robertson's performance levels have come under scrutiny this season and the 30-year-old could be rested in favour of Tsimikas. The Greek defender played the second half of Liverpool's recent Carabao Cup victory over Southampton having previously struggled with injuries.

DM: Ryan Gravenberch - Leicester's most creative influences reside in attacking midfield, with Bilal El Khannous and Facundo Buonanotte both likely to threaten at Anfield. Gravenberch will be tasked with stifling them.

DM: Alexis Mac Allister - Mac Allister popped up with a third goal of the season against Spurs, doubling Liverpool's advantage with an opportunistic header. The Argentinian midfielder could pull the strings from deep against Leicester.

RW: Mohamed Salah - The Egyptian took his astonishing Premier League tally to 15 goals and 11 assists in 16 matches against Tottenham. It was another breathless performance from Liverpool's talisman.

AM: Dominik Szoboszlai - Szoboszlai has often blown hot and cold but he was scorching against Spurs. He had a hand in four of Liverpool's six goals and made some impressive runs beyond the forward line.

LW: Luis Diaz - Diaz ended his nine-game goal drought for club and country in style at the weekend, bagging a well-taken brace to open and close the scoring. With rotation possible on Thursday, the Colombian could be moved to the left wing having started up top against Spurs.

ST: Diogo Jota - Following three cameos off the bench, Jota may be fit enough to start for Liverpool against the Foxes. If he does, the clinical Portuguese will be licking his lips at the prospect of wreaking havoc for the division's second leakiest defence.
