We've entered a new era at Liverpool with the Reds ready to spend big money on the right players.
After a massive summer spree, Richard Hughes is not done yet. The Liverpool dynasty is not yet complete. As we've seen from the way Arne Slot's side has started the season there are still a few missing pieces that need to be unlocked.
The main focus has been in the defensive departments where Liverpool are short of options and have looked vulnerable.
With Ibrahima Konate's future uncertain as he enters the final year of his contract at Anfield, there is a genuine case to be made for new signings come the January window.
It remains to be seen whether Hughes pulls the trigger and brings in any potential options. However, the defence is not the only area where he is looking to strengthen.
He's also very much still looking to add more firepower to the club's attack.
Even with the arrival of Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike there are a couple of missing pieces in the attack. The truth is that Hughes has not replaced Luis Diaz.
His mission as early as January will be to bring in Antoine Semenyo, who is a perfect replacement for the Colombian.
On the right side, Hughes is also facing another dilemma. He gave Mo Salah a two year extension in the summer. That was the right decision, Salah was still playing to the best of his ability.
Now, the Egyptian is not getting any younger and it remains moot whether or not he will fulfil both of his years at the club.
In the long-term Liverpool are definitely going to have to move on from him.
And Hughes is already plotting the perfect move, which could be worth as much as £100m.
According to Gambian journalist Foday Manneh writing for Footy Africa, Liverpool are ready to make a move for Yankuba Minteh of Brighton.
His report claims the club are prepared to pay as much as £100m in order to land the young winger's services.
Minteh has been one of the most exciting players in the Premier League this season. His ability to cover so much ground on the wing, and consistently play at high speed and high intensity makes him a perfect target for this Liverpool team.
Manneh goes onto claim that Liverpool are looking to replace Salah in the future and see Minteh as the ideal candidate. Which makes sense - he is a pressing monster and his speed is something the Reds have lacked in recent years.
There's also the added bonus that he worked with Arne Slot in the past, while at Feyenoord. So the pair of them know each other well and it was a successful time together for the duo while they worked together.
