The recent shift in Rodrygo’s situation at Real Madrid has not gone unnoticed across Europe.
While the Brazilian has worked hard to reassert his importance at the Santiago Bernabeu, interest from elite clubs continues to follow him closely.
According to a report from Defensa Central, Rodrygo is once again on the radar of Liverpool, who are monitoring his situation with renewed intent.
It must be remembered that Rodrygo closed out 2025 on a positive note, contributing two goals, a run that has helped stabilise his standing within the squad.
This upturn has been key in restoring confidence around the player, but it has also reignited external interest.
The report claims that Liverpool would be prepared to offer between €50 million and €60 million for the winger, a figure notably lower than what Real Madrid have historically demanded for him.
Liverpool’s renewed interest is closely linked to uncertainty surrounding Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian’s relationship with new manager Arne Slot has reportedly been strained, with Salah even being benched amid ongoing disagreements.

As a result, the Reds are actively planning for a future that may not include their long-time attacking leader, and they have not abandoned the idea of bringing in a new forward for next season.
Rodrygo’s name is not new in Liverpool’s recruitment discussions. The Brazilian was already being tracked during the previous summer transfer window, but despite internal interest, no formal offer was submitted to Real Madrid.
At the time, Rodrygo chose to stay put following a disappointing end to the season, determined to fight for his place rather than force a move.
What has changed most significantly in recent weeks is Rodrygo’s role within the team.
Notably, he has enjoyed a clear resurgence under the guidance of Xabi Alonso, who has publicly shown his trust in the player.
That backing has allowed Rodrygo to play with greater freedom and confidence, helping him “rise from the ashes” after a difficult spell.
For now, Real Madrid remain calm, but with Rodrygo back in form and Europe watching closely, his future promises to remain a recurring topic.
