Liverpool have released images of the Forever 20 sculpture honouring Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva, to be installed on 97 Avenue at Anfield. The unveiling date has not yet been confirmed.
The club said in a statement that the monument will celebrate their lives and bond, and provide a permanent place to reflect and pay respects. The 97 Avenue site became a focus for thousands of tributes after their deaths.
The design includes a heart motif from Jota's goal celebration and lyrics from the song still sung in his memory. Mounted on a stone plinth, it reveals Jota's retired 20 and Silva's 30 when viewed from different angles.
A giant mural of the former Wolves forward has been created in Wolverhampton. In March, Wolves unveiled two Jody Craddock artworks that will hang permanently in the Stan Cullis Stand reception at Molineux.
The brothers died when their Lamborghini left the A-52 in Palacios de Sanabria near Zamora and burst into flames at 12.40am on July 3. Jota, 28, played a key role in Liverpool's 2024-25 Premier League title win, while Silva was 25, and their deaths prompted grief on Merseyside and across football.
