Liverpool have impressed since the arrival of Arne Slot in the summer, and the Reds are currently five points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Arguably the most impressive thing about Slot’s fantastic start in Merseyside is that he has only made one addition to the squad so far, Federico Chiesa, who has only played 78 minutes since his arrival.

The Reds’ new head coach has truly taken on the squad he inherited from Jurgen Klopp and has encouraged a step up in quality.

Not every member of the squad that Slot inherited still remains at Anfield though, and there have been some departures during the Dutchman’s short reign.

The two major departures of the summer saw Sepp van den Berg and Fabio Carvalho join Brentford, but now another top club is interested in one of the pair.
