Liverpool are preparing for a massive summer overhaul as they strive to maintain their grip on the Premier League title and challenge for the Champions League.
They have submitted a bid for Florian Wirtz and continue to work on a deal to sign Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez.
Liverpool have completed the deal to sell Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid before the Club World Cup.
They have announced the signing of Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen for €35 million to replace him.
The Dutch international full-back is a livewire on the right, giving Liverpool a different dynamic.
Frimpong arrives at Anfield after four-and-a-half seasons in Germany with Leverkusen, where he bagged 30 goals and 44 assists in 190 appearances.
He was part of the Leverkusen side that made history by winning the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal in 2023/24.
Frimpong was a key player, as noted by former Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso. He was selected in the Bundesliga Team of the Season for the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons.
The Amsterdam-born star began his career in the youth ranks at Manchester City before heading north of the border to Celtic in 2019.
He enjoyed a year-and-a-half stint in Scotland, where he won three major honours before Leverkusen signed him.
Liverpool desperately need a natural holding midfielder despite Ryan Gravenberch shining in the base of the engine room.
The Reds need someone to anchor proceedings and allow Gravenberch to take up more attacking positions.
It was a priority last summer, but after they failed with their bid to sign Martin Zubimendi.
Liverpool must identify an alternative for the Arsenal-bound midfielder and seal a deal before the start of the season.
