One of the most beloved characters in the Liverpool team right now is Federico Chiesa. He may not seem like it but he's an extremely experienced player.
He's won trophies with the Italian national team, he's succeeded at Juventus and Fiorentina and has overcome an extremely difficult injury.
At 28-years-old, his abundance of experience at the very highest level is a huge asset to the Liverpool dressing room.
Now despite this Chiesa has not really got as much opportunity in the team as he would have liked. He's been increasingly sidelined by Arne Slot.
Although in recent times, there have been more appearances coming for the Italian, he still continues to be linked with a move away.
Right now, Chiesa should be in his prime years and his mission will be to play for his country at the World Cup. He won't be able to do that by sitting on the bench at Liverpool.
Which is why you can make a legitimate argument that he should move on from the Reds. As much as that would be a massive blow to Liverpool fans across the globe.
Nobody wants to lose Chiesa. But for the sake of his career, moving on might be the best choice.
Thankfully for us fans, he's not thinking about that though. In an interview with the Telegraph, Chiesa confirmed that he wants to stay at the club.
“Obviously, I want to stay here and I want to win for Liverpool again," Chiesa said.
