Arne Slot says Conor Bradley is set to return to the Liverpool squad to face Leeds on Saturday.
The defender has missed the last four games because of a muscle injury but has returned to training ahead of the weekend.
“Conor Bradley has trained this week so I expect him to train today and then he is available to be in the squad tomorrow,” the Reds boss said.
Slot is also hopeful Joe Gomez will be involved after battling through a knock to play against Sunderland.
“Joe Gomez got a knock in the West Ham game but was still able to start (against Sunderland) but couldn’t make the full 90 minutes,” Slot said. “I think he will be able to train again today.
”Yesterday was a recovery day for most of them and we will train again today so let’s see where they are.”
Liverpool go into the game against Leeds having drawn with Sunderland and beaten West Ham in the past week, and Slot says there are positive signs from his side after a dreadful run of form.
“It’s a step forward,” he said on the last two games. “There are positives to take but of course still not where we want to be, that’s obvious and clear.
“But compared to where we were after the last two losses. I think there are also positives to take from the players that we’ve brought in during the summer that I see are getting more and more consistent in their performances.”
