Arne Slot has named his Liverpool team to face Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Liverpool’s South American contingent all drop to the bench for the clash at Anfield, following long periods of travel during the international break.
Curtis Jones – who celebrated the birth of his first child this week – comes into midfield for Alexis Mac Allister, while Cody Gakpo replaces Luis Diaz on the left. Mac Allister and Diaz, alongside Uruguay international Darwin Nunez, start from the bench.
As expected, Caoimhin Kelleher comes in for Alisson Becker in goal with the latter set to be sidelined until after November’s international break with a hamstring problem.
Kelleher makes his 50th appearance for the Reds against Chelsea, while there’s a 100th outing in Liverpool colours for Ibrahima Konate.
Liverpool XI: Caoimhin Kelleher, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson; Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones, Dominik Szobosozlai; Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota.
