Liverpool to prize Maximilian Beier away from Borussia Dortmund? | OneFootball

According to Sport Bild, Liverpool could look to beat Borussia Dortmund to the signing of Hoffenheim striker Maximilian Beier.

It had previously been reported that a number of Premier League clubs were looking to sign Beier this summer.

Chelsea and Aston Villa were the two sides most notably showing interest in the German international, but it appeared as though BvB had beaten them to his signature.

Nevertheless, Liverpool are the latest English club to state their interest in Beier, and they could look to overtake Die Schwarzgelben in the race for his signature.

As well as this, as stated in the report, Brentford have already sent a €30 million offer to Hoffenheim, but with such high-profile clubs chasing the striker, it is expected that they will lose out.

Regardless, despite the interest from the Premier League, Dortmund are in a good position to lure Beier to the Westfalenstadion.

The 21-year-old is also keen to join the Champions League runners-up, meaning that it is hard to imagine the German striker moving anywhere other than Dortmund this summer.
