Liverpool's 2025-26 summer transfer window was incredibly busy with fans thinking that they'd easily dominate every opponent that they faced.

However, that's unfortunately not been the case with the Anfield outfit seeming to struggle in most of the games they've played this season.

Arne Slot's men are currently sixth in the Premier League table with 16 points separating them from first-placed Arsenal.

This lack of form has caused several players to be linked with a Liverpool switch in the next transfer window with the club being handed a bit of a boost in their chase for one player.

Ever since Yan Diomande burst onto the scene at RB Leipzig last season, Europe's biggest clubs have been circling for a transfer.

but, since the rumours first emerged, the Ivorian has had a massive price tag placed upon his head.

Sure, his statistics may make it seem like he deserves to be worth around £87 million but, since he's still just 19 years old and has only had European experience in the Bundesliga, it feels like a massive risk.

However, after a new update from talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook, it seems like the attacker could be prised away for less than that if one thing happens this term.

"Manchester United and Chelsea have both been keeping tabs on Diomande and Liverpool scouts were present as he scored during last weekend's 2-2 draw at home to Wolfsburg," he wrote.

"The 19-year-old, a potential replacement for Saudi Arabia target Mo Salah, is also wanted by Bayern Munich and Leipzig have put a price tag of more than £80million on his head.

"That valuation could come down if Leipzig, currently fifth in the table, miss out on Champions League football next season."
