Liverpool are expected to submit an opening bid to Paris Saint-Germain shortly as they seek to sign Bradley Barcola (23), according to reports in The Athletic.
Eager to join Anfield, the French winger is reportedly regarded internally as the Reds’ top priority in the transfer window, as they look to replace Mohamed Salah (33), who left the Mersey at the end of the last season.
However, negotiating Barcola’s transfer is not expected to be a straightforward task, as Liverpool’s management reportedly have no intention of meeting the financial demands of their Parisian counterparts, who are said to be asking for nearly €170m to agree to let their player go.
A deal in the region of €120m would, however, satisfy Liverpool, who intend to capitalise on the player’s reluctance to extend his contract – which runs until 2028 – with PSG to complete the transfer.
Having made 49 appearances (13 goals, seven assists) for Les Rouge et Bleu during the 2025-26 season, Barcola is now keen to take his career to the next level and play a leading role in a top European side.
