Liverpool are considering a summer move for West Ham United captain Jarrod Bowen, according to daveockop.com.
The Reds will make a move, even if West Ham avoid relegation, provided the price is right.
The Merseyside giants have been long-term admirers of the England international. They were linked with him in 2023, before he signed a new deal.
Described as an ‘unbelievable player‘ by former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, Bowen is enjoying a good season.
He broke the club’s record for most goal involvements in the Premier League in the 3-1 win over Sunderland in January. He has tallied 16 goal involvements in 33 top-flight games.
The 29-year-old is under contract until 2030, meaning he is likely to command a sizeable fee, unless West Ham are relegated.
The Reds are expected to strengthen their attacking department this summer by signing at least two new forwards.
Mohamed Salah is set to leave, while Federico Chiesa will be sold. Hugo Ekitike’s long-term injury has further increased the need to strengthen their attack.
Bowen would be an ideal signing, given his quality and top-flight experience. He has bagged 64 goals and 51 assists in 233 appearances in the competition.
He can play anywhere across the frontline and as an attacking midfielder, highlighting his versatility. His leadership qualities would also be a massive addition to the Reds’ dressing room.
