Liverpool are reportedly prepared to offload Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones this summer to help fund a move for Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton.
Wharton has emerged as a top target for new head coach Andoni Iraola, as Liverpool plan a rebuild in central midfield.
The 22-year-old has impressed with his line-breaking distribution for a Crystal Palace team that has won the FA Cup, Community Shield, and Europa Conference League over the last two seasons.
Palace value Wharton at £100m, with the Eagles determined to hold onto the England international. However, Liverpool are reportedly ready to test their resolve in an effort to bring the former Blackburn midfielder back to the North West.
To raise the funds, Liverpool are open to allowing Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones leave. Jones is subject of interest from Inter Milan and has just 12 months to run on his deal, with Liverpool valuing the 25-year-old at around £35m.
Journalist Alan Nixon has claimed Mac Allister could also move on. Real Madrid have shortlisted the Argentine as a potential option, as the Spanish side seek additions in midfield.
Mac Allister has been a central part of the Liverpool side since arriving from Brighton in 2023 but endured a mixed campaign in 2025/26.
