Liverpool will be without first-choice goalkeeper Alisson Becker for the Champions League last-16 first leg at Galatasaray in Istanbul on Tuesday, kick-off 18:45.
The club said in a statement that he was unavailable and did not disclose the nature of the problem or any recovery timeframe.

He experienced pain after Monday morning's training, the team's final session before departure, and consequently did not travel to Türkiye.
In his absence, understudy Giorgi Mamardashvili is expected to start in goal against Galatasaray.
The former Roma goalkeeper had already been sidelined for a month and a half last autumn.
