Liverpool travel to Old Trafford on Sunday, looking for a fourth league win in a row and to move level with Manchester United in third as the Premier League enters its final weeks.
The Merseysiders occupy fourth place and sit just three points behind their hosts in the table. Liverpool have won three league matches in a row despite several key first-team players being unavailable. Arne Slot could become the first Reds manager to win both of his first two away league visits to the Red Devils. However, they have won only one of their last twelve games against top-three opposition.
Arne Slot confirmed that Mohamed Salah will miss the clash following a muscle injury. The Egyptian remains sidelined after going off in the recent win over Crystal Palace. Hugo Ekitike, Wataru Endo, and Conor Bradley are also definitely ruled out through various injury problems. These absences leave Slot with limited attacking options for the trip to Old Trafford.
Alisson Becker is very close to a return, but remains a significant doubt tonight. Slot confirmed the goalkeeper has not yet returned to full training with the squad. In his absence, Freddie Woodman is on standby to start in goal with Giorgi Mamardashvili currently sidelined. Milos Kerkez has suffered some minor niggles but is expected to be available.
Alexander Isak is set for his one-hundredth Premier League appearance. He looks to score in successive matches for the first time since joining the club. Florian Wirtz and Ryan Gravenberch are poised to bolster the midfield alongside Alexis Mac Allister. Curtis Jones may be asked to fill a role in the defensive line as injuries mount.
Liverpool predicted XI: Woodman; Jones, Van Dijk, Konate, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Szoboszlai, Wirtz, Gakpo; Isak
Liverpool face Manchester United at 15:30 BST on Sunday afternoon at Old Trafford.
