LNER has issued travel guidance for Leeds United supporters heading to Wembley on Sunday for the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.

The operator said services between Leeds and London King’s Cross will be very busy and set out advice to keep journeys smooth, adding that it looks forward to welcoming thousands and hopes the tips help customers travel comfortably.

Fans are urged to check the Travel Alerts page on the LNER website before setting off and to arrive at stations in good time for the correct platform.

Supporters should travel only on their booked service, use reserved seats and be ready to stand if they do not hold a reservation.

With the London Marathon also taking place, customers are asked to be considerate on board, at stations and to staff, and to respect seat reservations, giving priority to those holding them.

To increase capacity, extra trains and more than 2,000 additional seats have been added in both directions, with limited availability remaining. For those staying local, dozens of Leeds pubs plan watch-along events.
