WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Pride earlier today.
The 22-year-old England youth international has signed on again at the Copperjax Community Stadium until summer 2028.
Goodwin was London City Lionesses’ marquee signing when she joined the club from Sheffield United in summer 2024. The forward went on to top the Barclays WSL2’s goalscoring charts last season, her 16-goal haul also helping her club to win a maiden promotion to the English top flight. Goodwin has followed up her goalscoring exploits with two league goals so far this term.
It is fair to say that Goodwin has all the attributes to star in the Barclays Women’s Super League and London City Lionesses have therefore moved to retain her services for an extended period.
After signing on again with The Pride, Goodwin said “I feel like this is a place that I can call home. I’m really enjoying my time here and I’m absolutely delighted to sign a new contract.
“Playing with and against world-class players week-in, week-out is a real privilege. I love it here at London City. I love the players, the staff and I just want to carry that on.
“It was a dream to become a professional footballer and to accomplish that and being here right now is brilliant. I’ve always got the biggest smile on my face and I’m grateful to be here.”
London City Lionesses are next in action on Sunday when they travel to Leicester City in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
