WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Pride this evening.
The 28-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half year deal at The Copperjax Community Stadium.
Cascarino joins London City Lionesses off the back of a spell playing her football in America with San Diego Wave. She previously spent a decade-and-a-half with French giants OL Lyonnes where she won a whole host of trophies including six UEFA Women’s Champions League tites and nine French Arkema Première League titles. The player made more than 200 appearances for OL in all competitions.
On the international stage, Cascarino has been capped by France on 83 occasions while she has scored 16 goals for her country.
After signing for London City Lionesses, Cascarino said “I’m feeling good, and I am really excited to start the second part of the season with London City. I’m really happy to be here.
“London City is the only independent women’s club in the WSL, which excites me. England – for men and women – is the country of football. It’s always been a goal of mine to play in this league.
“I want to play in the Champions League here at London City and win many trophies.”
Cascarino is the first signing of the Eder Maestre era at London City Lionesses.
