Europe’s women’s transfer window has already delivered several major moves, with London City Lionesses setting the pace through a spectacular recruitment drive.

Since the Women’s Super League window opened on 16 June, clubs have continued to attract leading names. L'Équipe highlights that, promoted in 2025, Michele Kang’s club have secured Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas, 32, Mapi León, 31, from Barcelona, and goalkeeper Mary Earps, 33, all free at the end of their contracts.

Former Lyon forward Kadidiatou Diani, 31, has also joined the Lionesses in a deal worth 800,000 euros.

Elsewhere, FC Como Women, eighth in Serie A last season, have been notably active. The Italians are leaning on experience, adding Emilie Haavi, 34, Agnese Bonfantini, 27, and Sofie Svava, 26.

The summer market is far from finished, and further major deals could yet shape the European scene in the coming weeks.
