West Brom have dominated recent Black Country derbies at Molineux, winning four of the last five across almost two decades.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, the sequence spans 2007, 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2021, with Wolves victorious only in 2011.

May 2007 brought a 3-2 play-off win for Albion, who led 1-0, trailed 2-1, then Kevin Phillips and Diomansy Kamara completed the turnaround. Jody Craddock and Seyi Olofinjana netted for Wolves. Albion won the second leg 1-0 before losing the final to Derby.

In April 2008, Zoltan Gera converted Phillips’ cross for a 1-0 victory that sent Albion top of the Championship.

May 2011 was Wolves’ bright spot, a 3-1 Premier League win. Steven Fletcher struck twice and Adlene Guedioura added the other to make it 3-0 by the 47th minute, Peter Odemwingie’s penalty was consolation. The result lifted Wolves out of the relegation zone.

In February 2012, Albion routed Wolves 5-1. Fletcher had cancelled out Odemwingie’s opener before half-time, but Jonas Olsson and Keith Andrews scored after the break and Odemwingie completed his hat-trick. Mick McCarthy’s five-and-a-half-year tenure ended soon after.

Behind closed doors in January 2021, Albion won 3-2. Matheus Pereira scored two penalties, the first inside 10 minutes, and Semi Ajayi headed the other. Fabio Silva and Willy Boly had put Wolves 2-1 up at half-time. It was Sam Allardyce’s first Albion win, the visitors were later relegated.
