Lorient earned a 2-2 draw with Auxerre on Sunday, Bamba Dieng striking twice in a breathless opening spell. The point keeps Lorient 10th, while Auxerre collect a valuable haul in their survival push.
Marvin Senaya scored inside the 1st minute. Dieng levelled on 19, Auxerre retook the lead on 24, then the striker headed in on 29 from a Pagis cross. According to L'Équipe, Dieng was rated 7. He now has 11 this season, six in Ligue 1, and faded after half-time.
Noah Cadiou earned a 6 for another forceful, tidy midfield display that has kept him ahead of Avom Ebong. Auxerre's Kévin Danois, also given 6, was busy and used the ball well, sliding in Oppegard on 62 minutes.
Josué Casimir, marked 6, finally opened his AJA account with a composed right-foot strike, having missed a penalty in the 1-0 reverse. Later he dispossessed Igor Silva and teed up Sinayoko on 67 minutes.
Bamo Meïté got 4, passive for Senaya's opener and chiefly at fault for Casimir's finish after misjudging his intervention. Igor Silva also took 4, too passive for the first and unfortunate, even clumsy, on the second.
Théo Le Bris was given 4, offering little going forward and struggling to position himself, caught by Oppegard in the build-up to the second Auxerre goal. Marvin Senaya also received 4, culpable on both Dieng goals and still short defensively after the break.
