Lorient beat Metz 4-0 at Stade Saint-Symphorien, staying ninth in Ligue 1 as the bottom club's woes deepened.
Jean-Victor Makengo put Lorient ahead in the 24th minute, turning in Arsène Kouassi's cross from a set piece.
Before the break, Yvon Mvogo denied Terry Yegbe and, after the restart, he saved from Giorgi Kvilitaia to keep Metz at bay.
After substitutions, Pablo Pagis gave Lorient extra thrust and threaded Bamba Dieng through to sweep in (84.).
Arthur Avom arrowed into the bottom corner in the seventh minute of second half stoppage time from another Pagis pass. Noah Cadiou then struck in the eighth minute of second half stoppage time to cap the win.
Lorient registered seven shots on target from 14 attempts. Metz had eight attempts and 53.5% possession but found only two efforts on target.
