Lorient host Troyes in Ligue 1 on 29 August 2026 at Stade du Moustoir, with both sides seeking a first win after opening 0-0 draws that left them 10th and 13th respectively.
Lorient took a point at Nice, while Troyes held Paris FC on matchday one. The hosts also did the double over Troyes in 2024/25, winning 2-0 at home and 1-0 away without conceding.
Troyes are without defenders Ismael Boura and Yvann Titi, reducing depth in the back line.
Early-season numbers point to a wide, aerial battle. Lorient delivered 13 open-play crosses at 30.77% accuracy and Troyes 19 at 26.32%, with both registering seven shots and clean sheets. Centre-back Montassar Talbi anchors the hosts' defence, while Junior Diaz and Adrien Monfray could be key to dealing with deliveries aimed at Renaud Ripart. Patrick Beach's goalkeeping will again be important if crosses and set pieces pile up.
Both teams sit on one point, so three points would move either up the early standings. Lorient then visit Lens before hosting Toulouse, while Troyes face Strasbourg next before trips to LOSC and Angers.
