Heung-min Son
After joining Los Angeles in MLS this summer, Heung-min Son could make a return to Europe before the end of his contract.
After 10 seasons with Tottenham, Heung-min Son signed this summer with Los Angeles. Since his arrival, the South Korean star has settled in seamlessly and delivered a string of spectacular performances: 8 goals and 3 assists in just 9 matches. He has transformed LAFC into title contenders—a feat even Giroud couldn't accomplish.
Several European and Saudi Arabian clubs were keen to sign him last summer, but Son opted for a move to MLS because he benefits from a special clause allowing him to play temporarily in Europe during the North American league's offseason. At least, that's according to revelations from The Sun in recent hours.
Son's performances and his media influence have boosted ticket sales and social media engagement, with the club reporting nearly 34 billion views since his arrival. At 33, and after a decade at Tottenham, he could decide to use this clause either to prepare for the 2026 World Cup or to answer the call from a European club interested in a short-term move before his contract expires in 2027.
