LOSC president Olivier Létang launched another attack on French officiating during Saturday's game against Rennes, angered by Alexsandro's 13th-minute red card.

According to L'Équipe, he appeared pitchside by the 26th minute and confronted the referee, M. Wattellier, at the half-time whistle.

In the tunnel he pointed at the official and said he knew what he had done, calling it a shame and a scandal, before deputy Sylvain Armand stepped in and urged the referee to take responsibility for mistakes.

Rennes coach Bruno Genesio also mocked the officiating, saying there had been only problems since the previous day, worse than last season, and branding the referee number one, top of the top, while being held back by Nabil Bentaleb. During the heated interval, Létang is said to have clashed with Rennes sporting director Loïc Désiré.

The Lille president has already been sanctioned several times this season, notably after the 0-1 defeat to OL on 28 September. Before the restart he added that unless something is done every weekend, nothing will change and the league will be skewed every weekend. He then greeted his players as they emerged for the second half.
