Lucas Digne will rejoin PSG after clause is triggered

According to L'ÉEquipe, Paris Saint-Germain have triggered Lucas Digne’s release clause at Aston Villa and the 33-year-old will undergo a medical in the coming hours.

The fee is estimated at around €10m, and Digne has two years left on his Villa contract. He will sign a three-year deal.

The capital club won a second successive Champions League this season.

Digne recently featured at the World Cup with France and has 64 caps.

The left-back previously spent 2013-2015 at PSG, where he did not establish himself. He later played for AS Roma in 2015-2016 and Barcelona from 2016 to 2018.
