Lucas Núñez leaves Valencia for Eibar on season-long loan | OneFootball

Lucas Núñez has left Valencia to join SD Eibar on loan for the coming season. Eibar said in a statement that the deal carries no purchase option and includes penalties if he does not reach a set number of minutes.

The versatile midfielder, comfortable as a six or an eight, now steps into professional football at Ipurúa in a demanding Segunda División environment.

His aim is to prove he can return to Valencia’s first team, and the club have faith he can break through during this loan. Eibar also believe he could be important in the pursuit of their objectives.

Lucas Núñez Ramírez, born in Alicante on 18 March 2006, joined Valencia aged eleven in the alevín category. After eight years in the Paterna residence, he progressed through every level of the Academia Mestalla, establishing himself among the club’s standout prospects.

In 2025-26 he was a key figure for Valencia Mestalla in the Segunda RFEF, starting 27 matches and logging 1,828 minutes. He also trained with the first team and featured in multiple LaLiga squads, making his Copa del Rey debut.

Known for his range of passing, two-footed striking and ability to arrive from midfield, he has adapted to varied tactical demands. That versatility enriches his profile in competitive contexts.

He now seeks regular minutes in an Eibar project that provides the competition he needs to keep developing.
