PSG coach Luis Enrique says Gianluigi Donnarumma is ‘devastated’ after Jamal Musiala’s injury: ‘He reached out to him, there was no malice.’
PSG coach Luis Enrique defends Italy captain Gigio Donnarumma following a shocking injury to Bayern Munich star Musiala.
Gigio was somehow involved in the incident last week, and although he clearly didn’t want to hurt his opponent, the Italian was still blamed by Musiala’s teammate, Manuel Neuer.

Speaking to the media before a Club World Cup semifinal against Real Madrid, Luis Enrique said (via TMW): “He [Donnarumma] is devastated. He reached out to Musiala. Anyone who knows him knows how kind he is. Injuries happen in football, even the serious ones. There was absolutely no malice. It was clear to see.”
During an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport earlier this week, Donnarumma reiterated that it was not his intention to hurt Musiala.
