Luis Enrique has paid tribute to Éric Roy on the eve of Paris Saint-Germain's trip to Brest, with the late coach to be honoured at Francis-Le Blé on Sunday evening.
According to Le Progres, Brest will stage a pre-match tribute to Roy, who died on 17 June aged 58.
Speaking to the media, the PSG head coach said Roy would not be there but would be with them in spirit. He called him a singular character who kept fighting despite illness.
Enrique added that Roy will be missed and that life goes on, and he believed Roy would be happy to see the tribute.
Roy took charge of Brest in 2023 and, in his first full season, led the club to a historic Champions League qualification. He had been living with pancreatic cancer for three years.
