Luís Montenegro attends Dragão, receives Presidente dos Presidentes shirt from André Villas-Boas | OneFootball

Prime Minister Luís Montenegro attended FC Porto's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest at Estádio do Dragão in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals.

According to O Jogo, André Villas-Boas presented Montenegro with a Presidente dos Presidentes shirt on Thursday as a symbolic gesture.

The shirt given to the prime minister is not from Porto's 2594 collection, produced one per title and fitted with a chip, which the club put on sale.

Those shirts were sold to members and supporters and sold out quickly.

The club then commissioned 42 more, matching the years of the presidency, without the chip, so they carry no direct reference to titles won during the former president's era.

These were intended as gifts for family, close friends, and governmental and sporting institutions, with UEFA and FIFA each allocated one.
