Luis Suárez hits 100 Inter Miami appearances in 3-2 win over Chicago Fire | OneFootball

On Wednesday evening, Luis Suárez marked his 100th Inter Miami appearance in a 3-2 MLS home win over Chicago Fire FC at Nu Stadium, becoming the ninth player in the club’s history to reach the landmark.

According to Inter Miami, the striker joined ahead of 2024 and helped deliver a record-breaking campaign, the club’s first Supporters’ Shield and the MLS single-season points record.

He led the team with 25 goals in all competitions in 2024. His 20 regular-season strikes were joint second in MLS with Lionel Messi. He also supplied nine regular-season assists, added a goal and an assist in the playoffs, and played 37 matches.

In 2025 he remained pivotal as Inter Miami won the Eastern Conference Championship and MLS Cup presented by Audi, reached the Club World Cup Round of 16, and made the Concacaf Champions Cup semi-finals. Suárez made 50 appearances, scoring 17 and providing 17 assists.

Across his 100 games, Suárez has 50 goals, the second most in club history, and 35 assists, the third highest mark for an Inter Miami player.

Before moving to Miami, he won the UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, five LaLiga titles, the Eredivisie, the Copa del Rey, the EFL Cup and other domestic honours. He lifted the Copa América with Uruguay in 2011 and retired as their record scorer with 69 goals from 143 caps.
